This star of Bombay is shining bright

Big, stunning, and mesmerizing, the Bombay Sapphire Gin takes on a lot of the qualities of the actual Star of Bombay that inspired its name. Founded in 1986 with a big idea and just two original Carterhead stills from the 1830s, Tom and Mary, the distillery grew over the years to become one of the biggest names in the Gin world, with John Travolta and David Bowie proclaiming it their favorite Gin ever. These days, the Gin is made in a historic millennium-old Laverstoke Mill in Hampshire, England, and Tom and Mary have been joined by Henry and Victoria, two 12.000-liter copper pot stills to keep up with the demand.

The Original Bombay London Dry Gin is a smooth and sexy drink with juniper-forward flavors and a powerful dry finish. Produced using one of the oldest known recipes for London Dry Gin, conceived by Thomas Dakin in 1761, this Gin is made out of carefully selected botanicals (among them coriander, Cubeb berries, and grains of paradise), each one of them carefully vapor infused, and never boiled, to extract only the purest flavor and the most original expression of the botanical. This masterpiece is then bottled at 40% and is best enjoyed in a Martini.
