Blanco tequila produced in Amatitán, Jalisco (NOM 1477)

Maestro Tequilero Alberto Partida

100% Azul aka Blue Weber (Agave tequilana)

Single estate agave (current batches are from the fields El Novillero and Las Rosas)

Cooked in a traditional, mesquite-wood-fired stone oven (without steam)

Milled using an automated tahona (traditional stone wheel mill)

Fermented with fibers (bagasse) in open air wood tanks (tinas), using spring water & ambient yeast

Distilled in historical copper pot stills from the 19th century

Prominent aromas of mesquite, burnt marshmallow, and lemon zest are bolstered on the palate by dried oregano, star anise, menthol, dried cherry, grilled pineapple, peanut shell, and fresh seaweed

49% ABV

Delving even deeper into the roots of tequila’s early production, Amatiteña ‘Origen’ offers an example of their historical, estate-grown tequila at a notably higher (and more traditional) ABV than their core blanco, leaping up from a sturdy 42% to a racy 49%.
